Josh Nay: Two...that's TWO new entries. Where have you gone?
Josh Nay: Hehe, well you got me there. Tell you what. I'll start writing new entries in my bravejournal and keep that one as well as my xanga. How's that sound? I'll do it periodically over the summer.
Josh Nay: AAAAMMMMBBBBEEEEERRRR...Sorry just had to do that. You still haven't posted any new entries and I'm starting to worry...is your computer broken? Want a new one? Am I annoying you? Alright, keep in touch!
Josh Nay: Don't get me wrong. I love reading your entries over and over again. They are still pretty interesting.
Josh Nay: Haha, you know why I'm cool? Because this is the fifth time in a row that I've posted on your tag board. So...you need to write some new entries for me to comment on, girl. I'm getting bored. Just kidding.
Josh Nay: You are the worst procrastinator in the world. Admit it. :P
Josh Nay: Hello hello. Oh, and I just signed up to get text messaged on my cell phone every time you make a post. Cool, eh?
Josh: You want crazy? Okay then...I AM THE GREAT CORNHOLIO. MY BUNGHOLE IT GOES RAH-BAJ-DAH-LA-PLOP-PLOP-PLOP. Nah, nothing's wrong. I guess having a girlfriend really made me mature a little bit, and it's about freakin' time. Oh, oh! A Pizza! Woohoo!
Josh: I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't write any novels like that, but I do know firsthand how authors need to get into the minds of their characters and actually become their characters in order to make the book truly great. Love the summaries!
krharden: Excellent job summarizing and expressing yourself. Like the way you included quotes for support. You did forget to post the questions though.
Nephew: sweet
Cecilia: I like the very last two sentences of you paper. Very true!
kristin: i wish you would ahve included text support so i could see where you're getting your ideas, but good ideas nevertheless.

Whitney: I your conclusion and i totally agree with you.

Caleb: I liked your view of both situations
Maryanna: cute! :P you did an awsome job!
The Gosh of Humanity: Wowsers. I don't feel like myself now. I'm used to being single. Holy crap, this is weird. Anyways, don't worry, you won't have to beat me up because I won't post lovey dovey poems everywhere. Although the part where Adrienne tends my wounds sounded tempting....
Josh: She's gone again! Oh, well, artistry cannot be rushed...
Nephew: conquer the world one brave journal at a time? sounds like fun
Muggers the Kitty: OOooh...poetry. Exactly what I need to conquer the world! Oh, and a familiar face. Hi josh! Well, I shall add you both to my friends list. Mwahaha!

Anonymous: Im not sure exactly what your tag meant..... could you explain?
Whitney: The one has no tittle is really good and it sounded life like. I wish that you could tell more though.
Josh: Okay, yeah, you're going to drive me to drink with all of your vanishes and reappearances. You're like a witch or a wizard or something.
Josh: I thought you were lost. Let's see...nearly two weeks without Amber? Yeah, you freaked me out. Totally.
Anonymous: Why do we write if we are told how to do it? And why do we speak if were not heard. Why try if were set up to fail.
Josh: Nah, I think a title with your name would be best. Something like "Colors of Amber" or something like that. Why can't I have a cool name?!

A Summary on “A Rose for Emily”

This story is about a woman named Emily Grierson.  It tells us about the life she leads and how she lives it.  It discusses her love life and death.  “A Rose for Emily” is a story that rambles on and on about a rich, stuck-up woman that does absolutely nothing with her life.

In the beginning, we learn immediately that Emily has died.  Judging by the way she treats the men that come to her house to talk about taxes after her father’s death, we can tell that she is every bit as stuck-up as everyone says.  She, in my opinion, was arrogant simply because she had money and her last name was Grierson.

Despite her flaws, a man actually courts Miss Emily.  His name was Homer Barron.  The town is so happy for Emily because she has finally found someone that will marry her and be with her.  But when Homer disappears, so does Miss Emily.  She never leaves her house and has her servant do all of the errands.  Finally, Emily dies and the townspeople go upstairs in her house and make a horrific discovery.  Homer hadn’t disappeared of his own accord.  Emily had killed him using arsenic she had purchased at the drugstore.  She had left him lying in the bed they shared, rotting and decaying.  She would lie beside his corpse, showing that she was quite obviously insane.

You expressed yourself very well in these postings. Good introduction to racial prejudice and stating your own beliefs concerning Faulkner's prejudice or lack there of. The only thing I didn't see was any reference to research on the subject. Did you have to read the sites I sent?

i see you haven't been around your site for awhile... but maybe you'll still see this.

i read a rose for emily once in high school and once in college. i actually enjoyed it, though a lot of my classmates didn't... it was JUST weird enough for me:)

i don't remember it exactly and haven't tried to find a copy of it to read, but I seem to recall being under a different impression of why emily kept herself cooped up. her father had forbid her from dating... or was extremely picky about the men she dated... or something. kept her under lock and key pretty much. so he was all she knew. so, when he died, she didn't know what to do with herself. she was already lonely, but when her father died, all she had was herself and her servant.

the man who came a-courting was from out of town. he didn't know any better about her family and herself. i think he figured it out, and she knew he was growing wary of whatever relationship they had, which is why she killed him, to keep him there. she didn't know how else to keep a companion and she was just crazy enough to believe that keeping his body there was better than nothing.

and "she would lie beside his corpse" is putting it very delicately... have you ever heard of necrophilia?

just some thoughts.
